Michelin-starred chef Andrew Pern, who gained widespread acclaim for his exquisite culinary creations at the Star Inn at Harome, is delighted to welcome diners to the Autumn edition of the Supper Club at The Star Inn The City York, which will take place on Tuesday 27th September, 6.45pm (diners to be seated by 7pm).
Join Andrew for an evening of incredible food and renowned Yorkshire hospitality as you embark on a whistle-stop tour of God’s Own Country’s seasonal larder. Enjoy Earthy and fruit flavours, a little game, and a drop of local ale as you make your way through a mouth-watering 5-course seasonal feast.
A Celebration Of The Finest Autumn-Inspired Ingredients
September’s edition of The Star Inn The City’s Supper Club will serve as a celebration of the very best Autumn-inspired ingredients and produce; our Supper Club menu features five tenderly-crafted dishes that capture the true essence of the post-summer season.
Start your culinary journey by supping on Sherried Cep Mushroom Soup with Chestnut Chantilly, served with a little Baked Partridge & Walnut Sausage Roll.
Next, embrace the freshness of our Seared Scottish Sea Scallop with Piccalilli Purée, accompanied by Crispy York Ham, Sweet ‘n’ Sour Raisins, Toasted Onions and vibrant Indian Spices.
Continuing on your unforgettable tasting adventure enjoy Ale Braised Ox Cheek with a little Foie Gras ‘Toad in the Hole’, served with Sweet Onions, Celeriac & Savoy and Brew York Braising Juices.
To satisfy your sweet cravings, indulge in our decadent Dark Chocolate, Pear & Cracked Hazelnut Frangipane, completed by Bramble Ripple Ice Cream and Sloe Gin.
Finally, in an ‘Homage to Fromage’ cheese lovers can explore their passion by trying Mrs Bell’s Ewes’ Milk Cheese served with Damson Jam, Forgotten Fruit Flapjack and Endive.
To compliment the menu, a matching drinks package will be available featuring carefully selected wines.

If you’re driving into York you will find our restaurant a short distance from Marygate Carpark, which can be accessed via Museum Gardens or the riverside path.
The Star Inn The City, which is situated close to the historic Lendal Bridge and Tower, is also just a short walk from York Train Station.
