For those seeking a delightful brunch experience, The Star Inn The City offers a sumptuous breakfast/brunch menu served from 9.30 am to 11.00 am (last orders) every Friday-Sunday in the heart of York. One standout choice is our mouth-watering ‘Yorkshire Mess’ Pancakes—an American-style pancake stack adorned with a seasonal berry compote, smashed meringue, and vanilla chantilly. This symphony of flavours and textures is guaranteed to leave taste buds dancing with joy. Additionally, our stunning Eggs Benedict or Royale, served with a choice of smoked back bacon or smoked salmon, brace of poached eggs, toasted English breakfast muffin, hollandaise sauce, and a short stack farm herb ‘salad,’ is a classic brunch delight that never fails to impress.

The highlight of our Sunday Lunch menu is our incredible Sunday Roast. Choose from three succulent meats including Roast Loin of Escrick Reared Pork with crackling, Roast Sirloin of Salt-Aged Beef, or Rosemary Roasted Breast of Yorkshire Wolds Chicken. Your perfectly-cooked selection will be accompanied by duck fat roasties, buttered seasonal greens, carrot, swede & horseradish stump, and a generously-sized Yorkshire pudding, as well as plenty of rich and tasty ‘proper’ gravy!
Alternatively, pescatarians can savour a lovingly-prepared fish dish.
