Bank Holiday Weekend Breakfast
Whether you’re in the mood for something hearty and filling or something light and refreshing, our breakfast menu has something for everyone to enjoy this Coronation weekend. Our tasty breakfast dishes are made using locally sourced, fresh ingredients and can be enjoyed from the comfort of our gorgeous outdoor terrace.
Some of our most popular breakfast dishes include the Full Yorkshire, our ‘Star’ take on The Full English. Featuring Smoked Back Bacon, Award-Winning Sausages and homemade Black Pudding we’re sure you’ll give it your own royal seal of approval. For those looking for something a little lighter, we recommend Creamed Porridge Oats served with a refreshing Berry Compote and divine Yorkshire Bee Pollen.
Alternatively, and in-keeping with the royal theme, why not try our delicious Eggs Royale? Tuck into Smoked Salmon, a Brace of Poached Eggs, and a Toasted English Breakfast Muffin with Hollandaise Sauce.

Ahead of the Coronation weekend we’re also excited to announce that we are open for breakfast on Bank Holiday Monday (8th May). The Star Inn The City will also be open for breakfast on the Spring Bank Holiday (29th May).

Our All Day Menu is a celebration of classic British cuisine with a modern twist and starters include dishes like Potted Yorkshire Reared Beef served with Aged Dripping, House Pickles, Gentleman’s Relish, and Rye Toast.
Our mains are fit for this momentous occasion too; enjoy a succulent piece of Roast Yorkshire Wolds Breast of Chicken accompanied by Sticky Lemon Thyme Thigh, Maple Celeriac and Wilted Brassicas. Alternatively, opt for an indulgent plate of Black Treacle Braised Ox Cheek with Dripping Fondant, Stockpot Roscoff Onion and Caramelised Onion Purée.
We’re also proud to offer a range of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options on our All Day Menu, ensuring that everyone can enjoy an exceptional meal at our riverside brasserie.
Finally, the King’s coronation serves as the perfect excuse to order a decadent dessert. Our All Day Menu pudding options include Baked Vanilla Custard served with Yorkshire Rhubarb Ripple Ice Cream and Ginger Parkin Piece.
